v0.3 Release Notes


Loop Explorers is an early demo of a roguelite autobattler game that is build around our favorite part of Loop Hero, tile placement.

Version 0.3 of Loop Explorers will be our first publicly available build. v0.1: initial set of playable builds with the core loop, v0.2: explored the tile placement mechnic, v0.3: polish and prep for itch.io.

The current focus of development is making the core loop game mechanic fun and strategic. Additionally, we are actively working on balancing the game to ensure that every tile is useful and interesting.

The progression and art are still early and need more development. We like the general art style (thanks Sunnyside) but need to find an artist help build build it out so the tile icons appear more like buildings.

We are actively seeking feedback on:

  • Core loop: what is/isn't fun and strategic?
  • Balancing: while tiles are OP, which are useless? 
  • Screenshots of winning islands.
  • UX: was anything confusing?
